Internet use is safe when you take care of three basic things:

Stick to the rules

• You must abide by the laws on the internet, too.
• Act in accordance with good manners.
• Do not bully anyone online.
• Do not illegally download music, movies or games from the internet.

Protect yourself

• Think about where you are providing personal information.
• Always agree on publishing any pictures online with the parents concerned.
• Think about who you are talking with on the web: some people are swindlers.
• Not everything that appears online is pleasant or true.

Protect your computer

• Update your operating system, browser and other software.
• Use an up-to-date firewall and virus protection.
• Make backup copies of your important files.
• Remember the information security of your mobile phone as well.
• Be careful when browsing or downloading material online.
